Alex Williams art combines dirt - tinged reality with fine art. Informed with a social vision like Ben Shahn and the absurdist streak of a Red Grooms, Williams employs pictorial realities in his art.
Williams created the Hay logo for Richard Booth's 'Town of Books' Hay on Wye, and now lives on the Isle of Wight.
A graduate of St Martins College in London, Alex Williams is currently artist in residence at the Griffis Arts Center in New London CT.
His illustrated book 'The Survival of an Artist ' a personal story, is written by Liz Hodgkinson of the Daily Mail and available through the gallery.
