"Tango", 10 x 13 in.

Damian Henry admires the work of the 1980 'New Glasgow Boys', like Peter Howson and the German Expressionists Otto Dix and early Max Ernst.

A graduate of Glasgow School of Art, Henry prints at Glasgow Print Studio, Scotland.

A fresh, graphic, primitive and yet surprisingly sophisticated approach, Henry draws from the everyday and his subjects offer a sense of just-off-center narrative power.

A fan of Pop musicians of the 60s and 70s Damian follows indie music today.

Exhibitions include: US galleries in Hudson New York, the Diane Birdsall Gallery, Old Lyme CT. The Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre, Canada and Dundee Contemporary Arts, Scotland.
