"Velvet Waters," o/c, 40 x 50 inches

Biography

Miller creates an interior weather, in a sense, human moods in aspects of nature. Working on linen and in oils, Miller is able to mute and drip the paint sometimes only staining the linen and at other times rendering with her brush the exact lightness and detail of a bird or insect. The atmosphere of the paintings is spiritual, and at once contemporary and archaic.
